Hey Hey! Welcome back to the Timid Lion Blog. It’s Friday, which means it is time for another edition of the Caricatures of the Week! It has been a crazy week so far. We have completed 2/3 live drawing gigs. One more left to go, I’ll be at a wedding reception in Illinois. Of course, The St. Louis Blues defeated the Dallas Stars and are moving on to play the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference Final. Game 1 is Saturday so I will be streaming the game on my phone while drawing. The boss gave me the ok to do it 🙂
Here are a few of my favorite drawings for the week. I’ve picked up several sales again through our Etsy store so I will be busy again. This is just becoming normal and I’m very happy about it. One of these drawings was a digital drawing which are always fun to create. It is a clean look, you can look into purchasing one here. Until next time, so long everybody!
Hello once again and welcome back! Happy Friday. We are back for another edition of our Caricatures of the Week series. Each week, I draw dozens of caricatures. This week was particularly busy as I had both an 8-person and 24-person order come in through the Etsy store. While drawing those, I was watching old episodes of Alf. This is my job. People pay me money and I get to draw caricatures and watch Alf. That is so cool to me.
Most of these caricatures came from my visit to Pieces STL last Friday. It is such a fun place to draw, great atmosphere and wonderful people. I can’t say enough good things about them and if you’re in St. Louis, please give them a visit. Enjoy looking at our favorite drawings of the week and have a great weekend. Until next time, so long everybody!
Hello once again ladies and gentleman and welcome back! Today is May 1st and that means it is time for our monthly newsletter to go out. If you haven’t already, feel free to take a second to Join the Pride! On the first day of each month, we will send you an email newsletter that features coupons and other fun news about Timid Lion! We will never share your info and you will only get one email from us per month.
This month, we are running a sale on our Black and White Caricatures. If you use the code “BW2019” at checkout, you will save 10% on your order. This offer is only valid on black and white art, color and digital caricatures are excluded. You should definitely Join the Pride though as we have new ways to save each month! Until next time, so long everybody!
Hello once again everyone and welcome back! It’s Friday and that means it is time for the Caricatures of the Week! As I said in last week’s post, this will be a regular weekly gimmick here on the blog. I’ll be continually looking for new content and with as many caricatures as I draw every week, this just seemed like a natural fit.
Last week, I had my regular weekly/bi-weekly night of drawing at Pieces in St. Louis as well as an overnight lock-in for high school seniors. I was able to sleep all day Saturday so staying up overnight wasn’t as big of an ordeal as I thought it would be. I’ve selected a few from each of those gigs as well as a few of our Etsy store sales. You can always purchase a caricature for yourself over at Etsy. Art starts at just $10! Until next time, so long everybody 🙂
Hello once again and welcome back! It’s time for the first edition of “Caricatures of the Week”! Each week I draw dozens of caricatures, be it through our Etsy page or at live events. We sell caricatures through our Etsy site and they start at just $10! You send us the photos, we draw the art and mail it to your house. It has been a ton of fun. Since we have so much content in that area, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites each Friday. It should be a fun way to end the week. You can always purchase a caricature of your own by using the links at the top of our page. Of course, we are always open for commission as well. Send us a ROAR! to get started. In the meantime, please enjoy some of the fun caricatures that were produced in the past 7 days! Until next time, so long everybody!
Hello once again ladies and gentleman and welcome back. After a successful night of drawing caricatures last Saturday, the good folks and Pieces have invited me back to draw again. I’ll be there tomorrow from 5pm-9:30pm. I’ll be taking photos and will share the best of the best here on the blog. In the meantime, I’ve still been chugging away on my children’s book. I don’t want to share too much of that yet but I hope to have it completed by the end of April. Then I will open preorders through the Timid Lion shop. Stay tuned for details! Until next time, so long everybody!
Hello once again ladies and gentlemen and welcome back! Occasionally, I will post sketches here. Today was a rough day mentally. I’m not sure if it is an artist thing or what but there are some days where I just don’t feel great. It is like there is a little man in my head bullying me at every turn. Nothing seems to feel good. I’ve tried exercising. Twice. I’ve tried being productive and working on caricatures that I need to mail for Etsy customers. I’ve worked on my book. It’s been rough. Well, I’ll keep trying. Here is little sketch that I did when I was drawing caricatures at Pieces last week. It’s a self-cartoon 🙂 Maybe I’ll clean him up some day. You can never have too many self-cartoons 😀 Until next time, so long everybody!
